"This benefit is for the Long Island Rabbit Rescue Group, with the aim of raising money to help them help the multitude of rabbits that are abandoned regularly, and particularly after Easter. People don't understand that rabbits are social and domesticated, so they can't survive "in the wild" of LI, they die rather quickly and tragically. Rabbits also need rescue from hoarding situations, meat/fur farms, and kill shelters. Money going to LIRRG would be used for supplies and veterinary care for these rabbits so that they can end up in loving homes.

While typically thought of as silent animals, rabbit's produce a variety of sounds: grunts, growls, chewing, chomping, honks, thumping, scurrying, tooth purring (they grind their teeth when they are happy, producing a purr analogous to a cat's), "arranging" things with their paws, scratching. The goal here is to be a "voice for the voiceless," or maybe more like "amplifier of the unamplified" and help them let their noises be heard."
